Brad King
Brad King, entrepreneur and filmmaker, has launched innovative concepts and companies focused on the combination of two specific areas: technology and film. Brad has developed the ability to identify unique areas of change, create opportunities leveraging off forward thinking concepts, and develop these ideas from start to finish.
Brad was an early pioneer in the Internet explosion, having launched several companies; his last, Net Effect, Inc., was acquired by Ask Jeeves.
Brad has a strong passion for the arts and particularly film. He launched Epiphany Entertainment under which he has now produced two feature-length films. "Teknolust", starring Tilda Swinton and Jeremy Davies, was invited to Sundance, Toronto and Berlin Film Festivals and was distributed by Thinkfilm. He has recently completed writing his third film "The Prodigal," a suspense thriller set in San Francisco.
Throughout his life, Brad has spent considerable time mentoring young kids. He has a particular passion for kids who are left out on the fringe. He has worked as a counselor at Mt. Hermon Redwood Camp and as a leader for Young Life. He has served on the advisory board for Young Life.
Combining his love for film, technology and youth, Brad is currently launching Voice Films Institute. Voice is focused on developing nationwide film festivals and an online community serving youth ages 14-20 who are making digital content, films, and animations. The goal is to provide outlets, training, and support allowing diverse youth to share their authentic voice through digital filmmaking.
Brad graduated from University of Pacific, Stockton with a double major in Business and English. Brad lives in Pasadena with his wife, Pam, their son Aidan, and their dog, Max. |
