Raquel Burgos MD, MPH

Dr. Raquel Burgos is a Board Certified Pediatrician and was the first concierge Pediatrician in the United States. As a practitioner in the community for many years, she is active in promoting healthy and happy lives for parents and their children. She has enjoyed being a frequent speaker to expectant parents at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, providing Pediatric support as an active volunteer board member for Blossom Birth, and serving as the Director of Health and Wellness for the Palo Alto School District PTA 2005-2007.

A California native, Dr. Burgos obtained her BA in Human Biology from Stanford University, her MD from the University of California, San Diego and an MPH from the University of California, Berkeley. Her Master of Public Health Degree emphasized maternal and child health specifically in the areas of nutrition, breastfeeding, health economics and international health. Dr. Burgos completed her Pediatric Residency at Packard Children's and during 1999-2000 she was the Chief Resident of Pediatrics. During residency, she also provided bilingual asthma education to her patients. In addition, she has authored a short children's book for young patients newly diagnosed with Type I Diabetes.

Dr. Burgos is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Society for Adolescent Medicine and The Society of Innovative Medical Practice Design. She is married, has three sons, and lives in Palo Alto.
