Thrive moves through grantee investment cycles where the foundation alternately promotes new research and then embeds and scales that research to practice. In 2010, Thrive entered a decade of funding on-the-ground “how” for growing youth who thrive. We partner with social sector leaders who want to consider the new research on thriving and blend it into their own brand of excellence, in support of youth and the caring adults in their lives.

We frame a multi-year partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that is co-developed with each grantee. This MOU, updated annually, lays out quarterly milestones and guides formal, quarterly conversations about progress. Ongoing, in-depth conversations about challenges and opportunities replace traditional year-end, written reports. We find the conversations to be far more valuable to both funder and grantee.
